Description:
Purpose of Hopkins Bengali Organization
- To provide a unified organization for the Bengali students of the Johns Hopkins University in order to fulfill the wishes, interests, and needs of the community.
- To plan, promote, and coordinate the cultural, environmental, academic, and social activities of the Bengali community.
- To provide those interested in Bengali culture a common venue to increase awareness and education.
- To address important issues and problems faced by the entire Bengali community of Hopkins, the Bengali community in America, and the community in Bengal.
- To encourage philosophical and social interaction among Hopkins Bengali students.
- To assist incoming Bengali students in adjustment and familiarization with the Hopkins campus and surrounding Baltimore community.
