Description:
ANCHOR (Advocates for Neurodiversity Creating Hope, Opportunities, and Resources) is an advocacy group for people on the autism spectrum and people with other neurological differences. We are advocating a new perspective towards cognitive differences like autism as complex human variations rather than pathological states. ANCHOR presents service opportunities through interactions with college students with Asperger's Syndrome, networking opportunities with health and law professionals, and policy advocacy.
Meeting Information:
Weekly general meetings Monday 6:00pm at Mattin 160. We also have other special events throughout the year and work with a support group in Towson. We are currently looking to expand our group and become more involved with people on the spectrum by volunteering at Kennedy Krieger Institute and having events with the members of the Towson Support group.
