Description:
The ACLU chapter at Johns Hopkins University (JHU-ACLU) works to ensure that students are educated about their rights and that those rights are protected. JHU-ACLU also works on civil liberties/civil rights issues off campus, in collaboration with other groups. JHU-ACLU fulfills its mission through various campaigns designed to target specific issues, and educational forums.
Current issues/campaigns include: opposing unconstitutional provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act, GLBT rights, student voting rights, and death penalty awareness.
