Description:

The aim and purpose of the Association is to serve the best interest of Islam and of the Muslims of Johns Hopkins and the surrounding community. The Association shall:

  1. Promote unity and joint action among the Muslims.
  2. Conduct social, cultural, religious and other activities in the best traditions of Islam.
  3. Arrange and hold congregational prayers and Islamic religious festivals at appropriate times.
  4. Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.
  5. Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds, both international and domestic. What unites JHUMA is a shared commitment to growing both spiritually and intellectually as Muslim students.
