Description:
The Hopkins Emergency Response Organization (HERO) is an emergency medical services organization on the Homewood campus. HERO operates the Hopkins Emergency Response Unit (HERU), a collegiate EMS service that responds to medical emergencies, and the Hopkins Emergency Response Teaching Unit (HERTU), which teaches classes in CPR and Emergency Response.
HERU is a Basic Life Support quick response service that is on call 24/7 during the academic year and on a modified schedule during Orientation, Intersession and the summer. In case of medical emergency, HERU can be reached by calling 410-516-7777 or 911 from any campus phone
