Description:
Our curriculum is based in traditional Japanese martial art, Jujitsu, from which Karate, Aikido, and Judo descend. We emphasize self defense and practical application in addition to theory. We are instructed chiefly by fifth dan black belt Sensei Mario Harold, accredited by the American Jujitsu Association. In addition to martial arts instruction, our course has a strong calisthetic and exercise component to it. Students can expect to learn how to survive in a self defense situation and get some exercise in the process.
Meeting Information:
Japanese Jujitsu (refered to as JJ) meets twice a week (Fridays 8-10 and Sundays 6-8) in the matt room in the third floor of the recreation center. Class involves a warm up and streches that last about forty minutes, followed by technique review and then new instruction.
