Description:
Persian poetry spans two and a half millennia and is amongst
the richest in the world. For centuries it is been one of the main
means of expressing our beliefs and traditions. The luminaries of
Iranian literature, such as Rumi, Hafez, Sa’di and Khayyam are
emissaries of this deep Persian culture of conveying emotions, social
issues, philosophical and mystical impressions through
poems.A group of graduate students at Homewood campus get together and follow through this tradition of poetry reading.
