Description:
Lideres is an initiative developed by Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. with the support of the Center for Social Concern, the Alumni Association, the Office of Greek Life, and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs to address these issues in relation to the “Mi Espacio” youth. Lideres promotes the educational advancement of the “Mi Espacio” youth by encouraging academic excellence and providing mentorship, creates a space in which the “Mi Espacio” youth are able to reflect and grow, provides workshops which identify and evaluate the existing and emerging roles of Latino youth, promotes community service to the local community, enlightens the “Mi Espacio” youth about Latino cultural, social, and political issues, and unifies the Johns Hopkins University undergraduate community and the “Mi Espacio” youth through the promotion of the Latino culture and Latino community.
Meeting Information:
Mentoring Sessions are M-F 3:30-6pm at 610 N. Caroline Street, Baltimore, MD 21218
Weekly Mentor Sessions are on Thursdays at 7pm in Charles Commons
