Description:
Peace by Peace is an international organization that works to teach elementary school children the value of non-violent conflict resolution and strategies for deescalation. Three or more students teach classes of around 20 fourth or fifth graders, a prewritten cirriculum structured around educating them about all their options in an argument, and how to approach it from multiple perspectives. Tolerance and heightened communication are the objectives of the cirriculum. Ultimately each volunteer makes a definite, internal, and often unseen change in the children they work with.
Meeting Information:
Meetings are Mondays, at 5 PM in the AMR I TV room. Every OTHER Monday starting 9/15.
